Executive Interviews

Executive interviews are usually one-on-one conversations between the researcher and an individual with particular expertise or information or, in some cases, about a sensitive topic.

Executive interviews may be conducted in person or by telephone. As with other qualitative methodologies, the executive interview dialogue is guided by a discussion guide prepared in advance with input and approval from the client. The length of the interview time varies depending on the topics to be addressed and the level of engagement of the participant.

We have conducted hundreds of executive interviews. Examples of some of the topics we have conducted in these interviews include:

  • Identification of product and service decision criteria
  • Identification of workflow processes
  • Exploration of perceptions and opinions
  • Issues identification
  • Competitive landscape map development
  • Identification of measures of quality for a product within the food industry
