Robin WedewerRobin Wedewer is president of The Wedewer Group, Inc. From her marketing work in associations, healthcare, travel and tourism, hospitality, pharmaceuticals and other industries, she has a keen understanding for how to develop and execute meaningful, timely and actionable research. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in English from Mary Washington College in her home state of Virginia, Robin moved across country and began her marketing career in Monterey, California, working with high-profile tourism and food and wine clients. After four years on the West Coast, she returned to Virginia to work in marketing at The Chrysler Museum where she helped to re-introduce the museum to the art world following a major renovation and expansion.

She began her advertising agency career when she moved to Jacksonville, Florida, and worked on accounts in automotive, tourism, healthcare and finance, working her way from account executive to account group director at St. John & Partners.

Robin became research director at The Robin Shepherd Group, also in Jacksonville, where she conducted qualitative and quantitative research and gathered competitive intelligence for clients in a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, higher education, technology, animal health pharmaceuticals and finance.

Robin left agency life to work as an independent consultant and to establish a research panel of veterinarians. She now leads VetMEDResearch.com, a leading research panel of U.S. small animal veterinarians. (Click here to learn more about our veterinary research panel.)

As president of The Wedewer Group, Inc., Robin consults, designs and conducts research for clients in animal health, finance and other industries. She has a particular interest in leveraging the reach and efficiency of online technologies for both qualitative and quantitative research. She has conducted hundreds of focus groups, including dozens of online bulletin board focus groups.

Robin began her work with associations nearly ten years ago when she became affiliated as a senior consultant with Tecker Consultants, LLC.  She conducts member and non-member research, including satisfaction and value surveys, message testing, product development and positioning research.

Robin pursued graduate studies in research and communications at the University of Maryland, College Park. She has also attended the A.C. Nielsen Burke Institute for quantitative research studies and focus group moderation. She is a member of the Marketing Research Association, QRCA, the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals and the American Society of Association Executives. She is author of the syndicated research report Profile of the Small Animal Veterinarian and is currently working on an ebook about association research.
